Travel photography collection

A collection shaped by changing light, patient observation and a curiosity about the natural world. Explore the photographs at your own pace, from expansive views to the smaller details within a scene.

Explore the contrast between open landscapes and smaller details. The collection includes wind-shaped dunes and chalk formations in Egypt’s White Desert, as well as a baobab silhouette at sunrise in Zanzibar. Some frames emphasise the scale of a place; others draw attention to the edge of a shadow or the outline of a tree.

As you move between the photographs, compare the effect of light on each scene. A bright sky can reduce a tree to its shape, while angled light reveals the surface of sand and rock. Together, these views offer different ways of looking at the landscape.

The gallery also includes zebras in grassland, flamingos on the water and portraits. These subjects bring a different rhythm to the collection. Look at how the frame relates a subject to its surroundings, whether through space, colour or a repeating pattern.
